Our story

It started with Shake and
grew with Amy.

The interest in understanding dogs better began in 2019, with William Shakespeare, affectionately known as Shake.

His challenges interacting with other dogs sparked a desire to learn more about behaviour and dog training. From there came courses, practice and the first training sessions with family and friends’ dogs.

In January 2021 Pack5 was officially born, initially with training, dog walking and pet sitting services. Soon after came Amy, the first client who changed the direction of the project.

The need to look after Amy for several hours a day opened the way to what would become our daycare service.

As demand grew, Pack5 grew with the support of family, friends, fellow trainees and Filipa, who became an essential part of this journey.

In November 2021 the Pack5 space was born: a dog daycare designed so that every dog is looked after, respected and happy.

What is dog day care?

It’s a daily care service where your dog spends the day in supervised company, with socialisation, play and rest in a pack. At Pack 5, day care runs from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Does my dog need a behavioural assessment?

Yes. Before starting any service, we always do a free, no-obligation assessment. We want to get to know your dog, understand its needs and ensure a safe, positive integration.

Which areas do you serve?

We work mainly in Nazaré, São Martinho do Porto and Alcobaça. If you’re in a nearby area, talk to us — whenever possible we try to find a solution.

How does the pet taxi work?

The pet taxi is a safe, legal transport service for your dog. We do pick-ups and drop-offs for day care, the vet, grooming or other necessary trips, always by prior booking within our coverage area.
